It's the freshest in my neighborhood since it first appeared, so It's a place to stop by on the way back from a trip. Today is good ,too.

The sushi takes a while to come out because they serve the dishes together. Normally there could be a wait so i would utilize their yelp waitlist. But on a wednesday night even though there were a lot of people we got a table pretty quickly. The wait was worth it. The servers were also decent helping us refill our water and providing us with more ginger when we requested it. The sashimi was delicious and the fish tasted fresh. The sauces and flavors went really well together. My friends brought me here and they love this place. I have to agree with them. Even though theres a bit of wait, the food was delicious.

I was told I absolutely had to try this particular sushi place while visiting Livermore. I was definitely not disappointed. I got a roll and some mackerel nigiri. Mackerel nigiri is one of my favorite things so I pretty much test it out everywhere. This was melt in your mouth delicious. The roll was great too, the fish was very fresh as were the other ingredients. They seem to do a very busy lunch business so service was a little slow and I had to ask a couple of times to get refills on beverages, but the service staff were all pleasant so it wasn't that big of a deal and didn't detract from my experience. Just worth a mention that if you wanted a super quick lunch this might not be the place for you. Regardless if you're in Livermore this is definitely amazing sushi and rivals what I've had in Hawaii and Japan - not quite that amazing, but pretty darn close!

We were seated right away at a table for 4. Staff ashes to take the cake we brought to put in the fridge. We ordered and got our drinks and edamame right away. Our order came out quickly. Food was delicious! Lots of food. Noise level isn't too loud. There's a parking lot since it's in a shopping center so plenty of parking.

Update: 6/17/24 Wasabi Bistro is one of the best Japanese restaurants in Livermore. The service is great, and the restaurant has expanded seating to accommodate increased customer capacity. The ambiance chic and is decorated with Japanese decor. The atmosphere is comfortable. The seafood is fresh, and prepared to perfection. We ordered: Dinner Bento Box - 5/5 You select any TWO items: Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, Salmon Teriyaki, Saba Shioyaki, Nigiri (Tuna, Salmon, White Tuna, and Ebi), Tempura, Gyoza, California Roll, Sashimi (Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, or Albacore). I selected Nigiri and tuna sashimi. The dinner bento also in includes and miso soup and salad. The nigiri sushi was excellent. The variety of fish is fresh. The texture and firmness of the fish was firm and tender. Not mushy soft like thawed frozen fish. If the fish was frozen, then it was flash frozen that closely maintains the texture of fresh fish. The ahi sashimi was delicious too, the slices were not cut in rectangular pieces. They were cut in long rectangular pieces. The thickness of the sashimi pieces were decent. I would order the dinner bento box again. Super Rainbow - 5/5 This Rainbow roll consist of real crab and avocado topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, bluefin, unagi, ebi, and tobiko. This looks like a roll of nigiri sushi (see pic). The fish was fresh, and each sushi tasted delicious. A highly recommended sushi selection if you're undecided to which sushi to order. Overall, Wasabi Bistro is a great Japanese restaurant to visit to satisfy your sushi or Japanese food cravings!

Went there around 8 on a Friday night and it was pretty busy I'd say! The tables were full but they were quick. They do have a yelp waitlist so I'd suggest that! Waiters didn't come around often which made it hard to order more food. All the fish was super fresh and delicious, the spicy salmon roll was amazing :) Would recommend!!

Great sushi place they had uni in summer from Santa Barbara which is not common. Staff were friendly and attentive. The sushi was super fresh they served the Amber Jack sashimi as is which show how fresh the fish was. A must try if you are in the area.

Went to Brentwood to pick fruits with my parents and daughter then stopped by Wasabi Bistro for lunch. Right off of the freeway. We got lunch bento boxes- beef teriyaki ( pretty tender) / tempura and sashimi( pick one kind of fish)/ salmon teriyaki Chirashi- beautiful presentation Super rainbow roll Everything tasted fresh. Service was good. I would definitely come back.

Wasabi Bistro is an excellent Japanese restaurant in Livermore. The restaurant is within walking from the Doubletree Livermore. We came for dinner on a weekday and were seated right away. The restaurant was clean, but busy. I ordered the dinner bento with hamachi sashimi and beef teriyaki. The bento also comes with rice, miso soup, side salad, and edamame. The food was absolutely delicious! There were 6 pieces of hamachi sashimi and it was fresh and tasty. The beef teriyaki was tender and delicious. I enjoyed all of the sides - miso soup, salad, edamame, even the rice. I would definitely order this again. I also tried some of the tempura, which was really good. They are generous with portions, which is a huge plus! The staff were friendly and service was good. Wasabi Bistro is great Japanese restaurant
